Truth is, I've been managing people twice my age since my early twenties.

In my current commercial role, my senior team members have 20 to 30 years more industry experience than I do.

I wouldn't say the age difference was the problem.

I'd say trying to perform seniority I didn't have was the problem.

The thing that worked: ask better questions than they do. Frame problems they have stopped seeing. Design systems around what they already know.

Your job is not to be the most senior person in the room.

Your job is to design the room.
